
In this level , rakthi ragas like Begada and Dhanyasi are taught in great detail to sing ragam, thanam , niraval and swara prasthara. A self-study of devakriya kriti to develop the ability to listen , decode and write notations for the same. The student also learns to sing alapana and swaraprasthara for devakriya (audava raga).
Learning outcomes
After the completion of CV403 the student should be able to perform at high level proficiency:
Rakhti ragas Begada and Dhanyasi in detail along with thanam, niraval and Kalpana swaras in two speeds.
Be able to decode the swaras of Sree Guruguha( Devakriya) and also notate the same
Sing a raga alapana for Devakriya( audava ragam) and also short niraval and swara prasthara.
Those who have completed the CV402 from the Academy. Those who have trained in Carnatic music for at least 8 years and a strong foundation of Varnams, Kritis and singing kalpana swaras and alapanas as well as been introduced to Ragam, thanam and Pallavi singing.
